Monte Cascas wines are a tribute and a journey to the heart of the Douro region, where the essence of our wines begins. We are not just winemakers; we are storytellers of the land, crafting narratives of terroir and tradition in every bottle.
In the majestic landscapes of the Douro Valley, every vineyard tells a story. Our mission is to capture this narrative in its purest form, allowing the terroir to speak through our wines. We believe in minimal intervention, letting the natural characteristics of our grapes shine, creating wines that are true expressions of their origin.
Vinification – The grapes go directly to the press without destemming or crushing; 48 hours of cold settling; alcoholic fermentation at 14ºC.
Aging – 3 months in used French oak barrels.
Pairs well with appetizers, soft cheeses, seafood, fish dishes, pasta, or on its own.
