O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2019
The expression of the personality of Dão wines is very evident in this 2015 Reserva wine. Made with the best selection of grape varieties from Quinta da Vinha Paz, this wine presents a deep ruby colour with purple nuances. The aroma reveals notes of ripe fruit with presence of black plum, blackberry and soft nuances of blueberry married with balsamic notes, candied orange and fine spices with a touch of dried fruit. In the mouth it presents itself with elegance, delicate smoothness, balanced volume, where fresh mineral notes and velvety tannins are expressed. Good expression of harmony with an evident long finish of high refinement. It should be served at a temperature of 18 º C accompanying structured dishes and cheeses.
This red wine comes from 34 and 64 year-old vines planted on 12 hectares of granite soil. The conduction system is vertical ascending monoplane and production per hectare was 5.3 ton/ha. The climate of the region is Mediterranean. The harvest was manual with selection of the best grapes. Light filtration.

Vinha Paz
Vinha Paz is a story of five generations, to whom the wine and the Terras do Dão flow in the veins. It is a story about wines that transcend time, made in Dão’s century-old mills, and that carry the serene austerity of Dão’s landscapes. The success of these wines, the result of a love and dedication to the earth, is present in the various awards attributed to this wine.
