Vinha do Padre Pedro

The Vinha do Padre Pedro red wine was considered one of the best wines of 2023 by The Washington Post.

“This blend of Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, and Alfrocheiro is spicy and jammy, yet with hints of earth and spice. This wine shows great complexity for its price.” – Dave McIntyre, columnist for The Washington Post.

Viticulture: Mediterranean climate; Sandy-loam soil; Bilateral Cordón Royat pruning system; Average vine age 15 years.

Vinification: After total destemming of the grapes, fermentation takes place for 5 to 7 days in stainless steel tanks, with controlled temperature at 26/27ºC, for gentle extraction. Part of this wine ages for several months in French oak barrels, providing it with a pleasant complexity.
