It is a wine that has a good aromatic complexity of red fruit with hints of spice. Well structured, fine tannins, with good freshness and well integrated acidity. It is a wine with grip and a persistent finish.
Climate: Continental Mediterranean. Hot and dry days, with a wide temperature range during the ripening period. Soils: Slate and limestone. Vinification: Total destemming with crushing. Pre-fermentative cold maceration for 3 days. Fermentation in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 24/26ºC.

Quinta do Mouro
Quinta do Mouro is located at the gates of the city of Estremoz, and belonged for centuries to the Zagalos family, one of the most wealthy in the city. This original “farmhouse” in Alentejo, where the vast lands dominate, has a palatial house from the 16th century. In 1979, when he was only 26 years old, fortune dictated the fate of Miguel Louro at a poker table, among friends, when he had the dilemma of buying a Porsche or Quinta do Mouro. The first acres of vineyards would be planted in 1989, following a failed incursion into cattle ranching, being today one of the region’s most iconic wine producers.
