Ervideira Colheita Selecionada Tinto is an award-winning Alentejo D.O.C. A blend of Trincadeira, Aragonês, Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties that resulted in a wine with garnet tones, with notes of plum, wild berries and spices in the aroma. In the mouth it is soft, with a notorious and elegant structure that persists in the finish and goes very well with red meat-based dishes.
Vinification of Vinha D’ Ervideira Colheita Seleccionada Tinto 2021: The grape varieties are vinified separately. The Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon ferment in stainless steel mechanical treading tanks at a controlled temperature of 25ªC. Aragonês is fermented in horizontal vats (vinimatics). Aging for 6 months, in French and American oak barrels.

Ervideira
The estates of Monte da Ribeira and Herdadinha both belong to the Leal da Costa family, direct descendants of the Count of Ervideira, a successful farmer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. With 160 hectares divided between two estates, one in Vidigueira (110 ha) and the other in Reguengos de Monsaraz (50 ha), Ervideira´s company is run by Maria Isabel Leal da Costa, the family’s matriarch, together with the support of her six children, including Duarte Leal da Costa, the executive director. Nelson Rolo is the head winemaker.
