Cor ruby young. In the aroma the same content in youth, red fruits, some tanning vegetable to add freshness, light note of vanilla. In the mouth it has a lot of fruit, firm and safe tannin still with some angle and that will certainly fine-tune with some more bottle time. Serious and firm.
Villa Oliveira Vinha das Pedras Altas is a top reference of Casa da Passarela , a small production of only 1703 numbered bottles of a plot wine, out of the current logic of single varietals, with a blend of several varieties of the region, with predominance of Alfrocheiro and Touriga Nacional, with some Baga among others. Vinified in cement vats with maceration before and after fermentation. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels.

Casa da Passarella
Located in Lagarinhos, in the sub-region of Serra da Estrela, at an altitude of 600 to 800m the Casa da Passarella was founded in 1892, even before the demarcation of the Dão region (1908). With its name back in the mouths of the world, it will never be known if it was the climate, if it was the land. If it was the talent of the people who passed through here and their passionate stories and personalities. Or if it was simply luck.
One thing is certain: silent and imposing, the old mountain has seen from above the birth of great wines in this piece of land of the Dão. Great wines were born from this house and these vineyards, before they were abandoned and later valued by the current owner, Ricardo Cabral. The renovated Casa da Passarella , presents wines with rigor and with, not less delicious, labels.
