In an edition strictly limited to 2000 bottles, born from grapes of the Encruzado variety from a 40-year-old vineyard, we decided to revisit the traditional way of vinifying whites at Casa da Passarella, which led us to the discovery that, in the past, whites were fermented in tanning – just like reds. Aged for 9 months in 600 Lts oak barrels.

Casa da Passarella
Located in Lagarinhos, in the sub-region of Serra da Estrela, at an altitude of 600 to 800m the Casa da Passarella was founded in 1892, even before the demarcation of the Dão region (1908). With its name back in the mouths of the world, it will never be known if it was the climate, if it was the land. If it was the talent of the people who passed through here and their passionate stories and personalities. Or if it was simply luck.
One thing is certain: silent and imposing, the old mountain has seen from above the birth of great wines in this piece of land of the Dão. Great wines were born from this house and these vineyards, before they were abandoned and later valued by the current owner, Ricardo Cabral. The renovated Casa da Passarella , presents wines with rigor and with, not less delicious, labels.
