O Produtor, tasting note published in November 26th 2022

The VIK “A” concept reflects the unique expression of our terroir, revealing the purity of Millahue’s Carmenère. Its deep, intense color with cobalt reflections captivates the eye. On the nose, the elegance of black fruits such as blackberry and plum blends with spicy notes that awaken the senses and transcend pleasure.

On the palate, it presents fine, silky tannins, with an expressive and generous body without being heavy. A vibrant acidity brings dynamism and freshness to the whole.

Like a loyal friend, the Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and tension on the palate, while red fruit and spices add layers of flavor, delivering complexity and elegance.

Vik Wines

VIK was created in Millahue, in the Cachapoal Valley. This is a vineyard that embodies the perfect fusion of man, experience, land, climate and high technology.

THE PERFECT TERROIR
The VIK vineyard was born at the foot of the Andes Mountains, within the Millahue Valley, called “Lugar de Oro” or “Golden Place” by the native Mapuche people: 4,300 hectares of astonishing Chilean nature where more than 327 hectares of vines have been planted.

VIK’s terroir offers a majestic and natural landscape made up of 12 valleys, each with its own microclimate, distinct exposures, all within a wind tunnel cooled by coastal breezes from the Pacific and winds from high in the Andes that give VIK enormous complexity and exceptional variety.

OENOLOGIST
Head winemaker Cristian Vallejo oversees VIK’s viticulture and winemaking, ensuring that grapes are hand-picked and fermentation occurs naturally, without the addition of yeasts.

The wines are aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels.
