O Produtor, tasting note published in February 25th 2018
Ruby red hues reveal a perfect blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. A symphony of cassis, black raspberry and black cherry with a hint of red fruit moves on the palate; aromas of mint, sage, tobacco box and graphite are elevated in La Joie's signature granite minerality. This is a sophisticated wine with an elegant bouquet and powerful, gripping tannins that finishes on a long, silky finish.
Great wines are often created in difficult years. The year 2008 is no exception: sometimes it was hot, sometimes it was cool and sometimes it was humid. These three conflicting elements resulted in great wines with balanced acidity, fruit, body and alcohol. The harvest took place from 4 to 25 September.

Verite Wines
With more than 50 “micro-crus” across four appellations, Vigneron Pierre Seillan carefully crafts each blend of Vérité. This mosaic of micro-crus provides Seillan with the palette of aromatics, flavors, textures and structural elements he needs to craft the wines of Vérité.
Each micro-cru is harvested and fermented separately, then aged in French Oak barrels of various custom toasts.
Seillan carefully tailors his winemaking techniques and oak regimens to the personality of each lot, providing him with hundreds of unique components he can use to create the architecture of the final blends of La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir.
