O Produtor, tasting note published in November 15th 2022
The refined beauty of this dry red is less the taste than the experience.
A wild ride of energy, depth and complexity. The light aromas and flavours move like a ballerina across the nose and palate, from deep red and blue fruit to stone and spice with a consistent velvety texture.
Yet this seems almost secondary to the almost transcendental balance and inner silence. The wine grew out of respect for the land and culture. It belongs to a place and a time and is a true mirror of the power, mystery and beauty of its region.
Grapes from the Fontanals vineyard over 75 years old, in Monsant Priorat, located at 800 mts altitude. Manual harvest in 10 kg boxes on 20 September 2021.
The grapes were vinified for 6 to 8 days in whole cluster, with wild yeast in cement tanks before undergoing over 8 months of ageing, also in cement.
The vinification and ageing is done to maintain a consistent and natural connection with. Infusion rather than extraction.

Terroir Al Límit
At Terroir al Límit, we are very aware of being part of the Mediterranean context. Priorat is a historic Mediterranean region with an ancient winemaking tradition. Our culture and terroir are strongly influenced by the Mediterranean climate. The goal at Terroir al Límit is to produce wines of infusion rather than extraction, thus emphasizing elegance instead of the typical weight of Priorat wines.
Our wines are crafted for gastronomy. They are meant to be enjoyed in the company of family and friends, in the lifestyle of southern Europe. Food and wine have always gone hand in hand, as part of a healthy Mediterranean diet. To complement this pure and authentic cuisine, our wines must be light and transparent; they must be flowing, fine, and elegant.
