O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2018

Very dark fleshy red color. Tense and closed, concentrated and powerful, floral and fruity, it ends with some earthy notes that add complexity. Silky and velvety in texture, it is an intense and structured red, vigorous but non-aggressive, complex and elegant, with a fresh finish and great storage potential.

Tiago Cabaço

This wine has enjoyed long, slow maturations that our oldest vines and from our best plots have taken advantage of to provide, grapes with an exemplary balance between acidity and tannins. The two varieties that benefited most from the exceptional goodness of nature were Syrah and Alicante Bouschet. With such good raw material, we preferred to work them little, letting the grapes speak for themselves. We did little more than tread the grapes by foot in our lagares, according to the most traditional methods of the region, followed by ageing in new barrels and second year French oak barrels, allowing the wine to express itself in its purest form.
