The Grape Escape

Stand your glass, this is a robbery!
It follows the normal story of a police film noir: a thief, a femme fatale, and an escape. In the nose the aromas are close to the backwoods, a sign of oak ageing. In the mouth it presents a good tannin and some acidity. ‘The Grape Escape’ is a wine of a good structure but also fresh, where fruit comes as a surprise from the warm of the mouth. A red wine with the art of stealing senses, typical from Douro. Unsuspected accessaries: cheeses, smoked food and sausages.

Pôpa Art Projects

After Quinta do Pôpa, producer of Douro wines, and Feeling Grape Wine & Food Atelier that opened recently in Porto, it is time to create Pôpa Art Projects, a new challenge for Stephane and Vanessa Ferreira, the two brothers known as “Pôpa grandson’s”, which has taken more than two years “fermenting”. An irreverent project, with a little romantism and a straight connection with art and design. Pôpa Art Projects is like a “creative agency”, where vinic experiments happens with unexpected combinations, challenging centenarial bias and paradigms with a characteristic approach. Pôpa Art Projects is not a simple embellishment of wine labels. It is something that flows in the wine itself. The art and wine are one and only story. Pôpa Art Projects are suposed to share without moderation, like a good conversation. Its graphic identity is borned from the round format mark of two glasses which cross and start seeing the world from another point of view. To Stephane Ferreira, every project with “Pôpa Art Projects” signature is “100% art, from its concept and content, to its packaging and tasting experience. In each project we give our best, like it was our last. And if it is not enough to be our last, it is not worth to have this signature”. To Vanessa Ferreira, his sister, this is a project which “decouples us from monotony, where we find ideas and bribe the conventional”.
