Terracota

Driven by the desire to push boundaries, we introduced techniques from other regions at No Rules Wines, opting to vinify in clay amphorae. With these wines, we aim to showcase the fusion of granite and clay!

This wine batch resulted from vinification in clay amphorae. The skin contact was long, approximately 5 months. Subsequently, the wine was clarified, racked off the lees, and continued aging in liquid phase in clay for another 6 months. Brief stainless steel aging for 2 months prior to bottling.

Winemaker: Tiago Macena.

pH: 3.75
Total acidity: 5.1 g/L

No Rules Wines

At No Rules Wines, we are passionate about wine and, above all, about breaking barriers and going beyond limits. Our company was born from the desire to innovate, challenge the conventional, and create unique experiences. We refuse to follow established formulas and dive headfirst into the art of winemaking in an experimental way, always grounded in knowledge and accumulated experience. The wine is ours; we make the rules!

Winemaker Tiago Macena challenges traditional techniques to create surprising wines. With irreverence and creativity, he seeks new ways to tell the story of Dão through wine, always respecting the unique terroir of the region.

The roots of No Rules Wines are deeply intertwined with Serra da Estrela and Dão. Each bottle represents pride in this special land. In every grape, one witnesses the passion for the land and for sustainable agriculture that protects the biodiversity and natural resources of the region. In every bottle, one savors the skill of our viticulturists, combined with innovative techniques, to create exceptional wines.

The limited scale of production allows for precise control of each phase of the winemaking cycle. From selecting suitable plots for planting vines to the careful harvesting of grapes, through fermentation, aging, and bottling, each step is treated with attention and dedication.

Emphasizing quality over quantity is one of the pillars of small-scale wine production. Each bottle represents the result of effort and devotion to the art of winemaking, providing wine lovers with an authentic and enriching experience.
