Terroir
The various vine plots that gave rise to this wine have their origin in the sub-region of Cima Corgo. Some old vines and plots of extreme varieties such as Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz and Touriga
Nacional, planted at different exposures and altitudes.
Vinification
Manual harvesting. Manual selection of the bunches.
Destemming and light crushing of berries.
The grapes ferment in granite presses with foot treading, stainless steel tanks and new 500l French oak barrels. Each of these types of fermentation gives the wine a particular style. After ageing for 19 months in barrels, we make up the blend and carry out a light fining prior to bottling. The wine rested for 1 year before being commercialised. All our wines are sealed with natural cork. The wines are not filtered or cold stabilised and may therefore
precipitate with age.
