Taboadella
An atypical, rather cold spring, combined with the intentional delay of pruning by the technical team, led to a slight delay in the vine’s cycle, thus avoiding production losses due to the late frosts in April observed in the demarcated Dão region. June and July, until mid-August, were hot and dry. From mid-August, there were some night-time showers along with high daytime temperatures, allowing for a balanced maturation process, resulting in exceptional grape quality. These particular conditions of Taboadella’s microclimate allowed us to produce wines with a profile and richness that reflect the unique terroir from which they originate.

Aging: 20% in new 500L French oak barrels; 80% in second-year 500L French oak barrels, for 9 months.
Bottling: June 2023.
