Scala Coeli
Scala Coeli owes its name to the Monastery of Santa Maria Scala Coeli (commonly known as the Cartuxa Monastery), a place where Carthusian monks remain in silence and prayer. It results from the best vinifications of each year from less traditional grape varieties in the Alentejo. It was first produced in 2005.
Harvest/Vinification: Obtained from the best vinifications of the harvest, using less traditional grape varieties in the region. In 2019, it resulted from the vinification of the Touriga Nacional variety.
Aging: In new French oak barrels.
