O Produtor, tasting note published in November 8th 2024
Rola Red is a wine that exhibits a highly concentrated nose with some freshness. Ripe red fruit. A wine with present tannins, a long and persistent finish.
In the Douro, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this product of excellence and quality with traditional characteristics is born.
The grapes used to produce it come from several plots of vineyards over 50 years old. The harvest was early but provided musts of good quality, with high sugar levels, good acidity, and phenolic compounds.
Vinification and aging: The grapes were fermented in stainless steel for 7 to 10 days at temperatures of 22° to 26º. The wines are clarified to allow malolactic fermentation. After this second fermentation, 30% of the wines age for 9-12 months in barrels.

Ana Rola
I feel an eternal love for this land I was born into, so I want to pay tribute to it by creating wines that respect their origin, preserve their soul and conserve their essence.
Authentic and honest wines but at the same time elegant and delicate.
I want them to express the enormous pride in the heritage that has been passed down to me and that they stand out for their naturalness and authenticity.
That is my hallmark!
