Quinta dos Murças Reserva Red Wine is a wine from the Douro region with an intense and deep colour. Its aroma is complex, fresh and elegant, dominated by black fruits, balsamic aromas, such as rock rose, and spicy notes from its aging in barrels. The palate is firm and concentrated, with a well-present and balanced acidity, and mature tannins well involved in its body and volume. It has a long and persistent finish, dominated by fruit notes, where its balance and elegance stand out.
Murças Reserva, born in the old vineyards of Quinta dos Murças, located between 100 and 380m, respecting nature and following a sustainable agriculture. This wine shows the potential of the Douro old vineyards to produce wines of great elegance and ageing power. It was aged in used French oak barrels for 12 months.

Esporão was also distinguished with the award at the “Green Project Awards 2013” for sustainable agricultural production practices and received an honourable mention for water, energy and waste reduction projects.
In 2014, Esporão was included in Wine&Spirits’ “100 Best Producers of the Year” list and won the “European Business Awards for the Environment” in the “Products and Services” category.
