O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2023

Deep and clean garnet color wine. Black plum and cherries aromas match perfectly with the vanilla nuances coming from the wooden stage. A taste full of very fruity flavors that allow a structured and elegant finish.

Quinta dos Aciprestes

A classic from the Douro produced from 50-year-old vineyards, where Tinta Barroca predominates.

Quinta dos Aciprestes borders the Douro River with its gentle slopes, in an area completely replanted with the noblest varieties of the Demarcated Douro Region. Located between the Cima-Corgo and Douro Superior sub-regions, its vineyards benefit from a microclimate that offers ideal conditions for grape ripening.

Quinta dos Aciprestes Red is made from plots of Old Vines mostly composed of Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz, and also Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, and Tinta Amarela to a lesser extent. A subtly powerful red with a distinct fruity character, expressing the uniqueness of Quinta dos Aciprestes.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. This is followed by aging in French oak barrels for a period of 12 months.
