O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2017
Intense garnet colour with abundant violet tones. A nuanced aroma of floral notes, dried black plum, raisins and macerated forest fruits. Light notes of toast and spices. It has a complex, soft and harmonious flavor.
Total destemming, soft and prolonged pelicular maceration, with alcoholic fermentation at 28ºC. Distinct for the nobility of the tannins resulting from the ageing in new French Oak barrels

Quinta dos Abibes
THE DREAM MATERIALIZED…
He arrived at Quinta dos Abibes because, as Alberto Caeiro wrote, The amazing reality of things is my everyday discovery. Every thing is what it is, and it’s hard to explain to anyone how much I’m happy about it”. Francisco Jorge Batel Marques, mentor and viticulturist, materialized the dreams, the senses and the meanings of his cultural archetype in the creation of wines, as a list of the imaginary of his maternal roots, on earth, and paternal roots, at sea. In a place where, since at least the 18th century, wine was already made.
