Of great olfactory exuberance, denser and deeper with notes of graphite tobacco and ripe fruit. In the mouth the typical floral resinous notes identifying the variety.

Quinta de Lemos

The vineyards are located in the sub-region of Silgueiros between 350 and 400 metres above sea level.
The grape variety is recognised for being glabrous (hairless), with short knots and a bright light green tone.
The vineyard is managed within an integrated protection programme, and the application of herbicides is forbidden. Weed control is carried out by tilling the soil.
Harvest is manual, when the vines reach their optimum point of maturation, which takes place in the second fortnight in September. The harvest is done in small 10 kgs boxes. These wines are obtained after fermentation at a controlled temperature so as to preserve all the aromatic elegance, in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks for 20 days.
The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and consequent ageing for 18 months in order to enhance its structure and complexity.

Quinta de Lemos

Quinta de Lemos produces true nectars of the Dão! Our vineyards are tended with care by patient and experienced hands. In homage to the Dão, we create exclusive wines from the region’s native grape varieties. Located 7 km from Viseu, the district capital and a charming city, the estate sits on the Beira Alta plateau at an altitude of 340 meters. In this green paradise in central Portugal, we have a total of 50 hectares – 25 ha of vineyards, 7 ha of olive trees, and the rest divided between pine forest and vegetable garden.
