Quinta de Arcossó
Quinta de Arcossó red is born in Arcossó – Vidago – in the Ribeira de Oura sub-region, on a plot of 10.5 hectares, integrated into a set of 12 hectares of new vineyards (planted in 2003), situated on a broad hillside at a medium altitude (375 meters), facing south, with about 20% slope. The soil is of granitic origin.
Vinification: Grapes were harvested on September 22nd, 23rd, and October 5th, and vinified in a lagar with foot treading. Part of the wine aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels; bottled in June 2022, it remains in the cellar for 6 months.
Open and decant the bottle some time before serving.
Pair it with the famous Chaves ham, veal stew, or sausages from the region.
