Quinta das Marias
Crafted from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Jaen, and Alfrocheiro grapes, with an average vine age of 20 years, this wine reflects the essence of September harvests. Handpicked in 20 kg crates and delicately destemmed, it undergoes fermentation in ‘Ganimede’ vats with precise temperature control, followed by malolactic fermentation in a tank. The wine matures gracefully for 12 months in 225 L French oak barrels (3rd and 4th year), shaped by the expertise of Owner Peter Viktor Eckert, Estate Manager Victor Lopes, Vineyard Manager José Faria, and Winemaker Luís Lopes. A true masterpiece awaits.

Quinta das Marias
During the last three decades, with much love and great care, we have turned Quinta das Marias into a wine house that produces top quality wines exclusively from its own culture. Our wines are an example of the elegance, depth and refinement that only the Dão region can produce, thanks to the climatic conditions and the exceptional soils from which it benefits.
The first good wines were produced in 1998. The 1999 Dão has already won a gold medal in the Dão DOC Competition. The greatest success so far has been the awarding of the Best Single Vineyard Wine of the Year prize to the Touriga NacionalReserve 2011 in the Vinhos de Portugal Competition, the most important in the country.
As a family company we place quality above everything else. And it is exactly because of this that we have managed to affirm our wines on the international markets in front of the greatest wine lovers.
