Quinta das Marias
Crudus is an “Out of the bottle” wine, the first of a collection of wines that will be launched with the mission of transmitting the unequalled purity of the Dão region. Above all, it is a wine. To give pleasure. Manual harvest in 20 kg boxes. Destemming and cold maceration, followed by pressing and static decanting. Spontaneous fermentation in 400 litre barrels from France and Austria for 34 days. After fermentation, the wine ages on its lees for 20 months before being bottled. Wine without stabilisation, subject to create natural deposit.

Quinta das Marias
During the last three decades, with much love and great care, we have turned Quinta das Marias into a wine house that produces top quality wines exclusively from its own culture. Our wines are an example of the elegance, depth and refinement that only the Dão region can produce, thanks to the climatic conditions and the exceptional soils from which it benefits.
The first good wines were produced in 1998. The 1999 Dão has already won a gold medal in the Dão DOC Competition. The greatest success so far has been the awarding of the Best Single Vineyard Wine of the Year prize to the Touriga NacionalReserve 2011 in the Vinhos de Portugal Competition, the most important in the country.
As a family company we place quality above everything else. And it is exactly because of this that we have managed to affirm our wines on the international markets in front of the greatest wine lovers.
