O Produtor, tasting note published in November 24th 2021
With an intense ruby color and violet reflections, this red wine captivates with its aromatic exuberance. Red and black fruits, such as blackberry and strawberry, combine with floral nuances of rockrose and lavender, enriched by smoky and toasted notes from barrel aging. On the palate, it reveals itself to be elegant and firm, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity that extends the experience. The finish is long, marked by delicate floral notes.
This Quinta da Vacaria wine is a masterpiece of Touriga Nacional, displaying violet hues and a predominance of red fruits. Complex notes of vanilla and toast, derived from barrel aging, add depth to its vibrant character.
Quinta da Vacaria, with its wonderful climate, favorable to the development and maturation of the grapes, features a sloped, schistous soil, scattered with fragmented stones. These stones come from the degradation of schist, both due to erosion and human activity. This schistous rock not only benefits the vegetative part of the vine but also its root system. The highly permeable subsoil allows the vine roots to seek great depth, obtaining the necessary nourishment and moisture for the vegetation, contributing to the production of great wines with excellent aging potential.
