QALT TINTA BARROCA combines Art with wine. Wine is the art inside the bottle and also the one outside. A label should speak. Thus, we brought a bold reading of the schist walls surrounding our property in Ervedosa do Douro. We invited the Brazilian street artist, Kaur Art, to create, in his artistic conception, the centuries-old schist walls of the Douro. The result is this. All the colors recall the colors of tinta barroca at different stages of the wine. A work done with designer Helena Lobo and Kaur Art.

Vinification: Manual harvest on September 23, 2022, carried out in 20 kg crates. Manual selection on sorting table. 30% fermented with whole clusters. Pumping over with aeration. Fermentation at controlled temperature. Six months aging in stainless steel tanks. Bottled on May 22, 2023. Released in May 2024.

Gastronomy: Pairings with light seafood, fish, and chicken dishes. Also with vegetarian dishes. A wine for aperitif and to perform well at the table. Easy to drink, it accompanies the most demanding palates.

QALT is the reflection of this struggling, enterprising and audacious woman who, coming from the other side of the Atlantic, wishes to ally the ancestral history of the Douro to the modernity of the new markets.
An unconditional lover of international wines, she admires above all the tenacity of the women of the Douro – whose pinnacle is D. Maria Antónia Ferreira – and for this reason, she makes a point of honouring all the women of this land with her distinctive, elegant and above all audacious wines.
Its white, rosé and red wines have already taken their first steps on the national and Brazilian markets. Now, like an odyssey of the discoveries, it wants to conquer the world!
