Grande Rocim
Climate: Typically Mediterranean, in the wine sub-region of Vidigueira, where the climatic conditions are the most temperate in the Alentejo, providing an ideal microclimate for the production of high-quality wines.
Soils: Low-productivity soils of schist origin, with great pedological potential for vine cultivation and the production of excellent wines.
Grapes: Alicante Bouschet. The grape is trained in a single-plane upward system, with a westward exposure. The vineyard rows are oriented East-West.
Winemaking: Harvested on August 29, 2023. The grapes were carefully selected, berry by berry, on a vibrating sorting table. Fermentation took place in a traditional foot-treaded lagar, over a period of 13 days.
Aging: The wine aged for 18 months in 500 L French oak barrels.
