Portal de São Braz

It is in the warm and poor soils of Alentejo that the Syrah grape reaches its full potential, making it the foreign grape that has best adapted to the harsh climate of the left bank of the Guadiana. Bravely overcoming the summer heat and endless hours of sunshine, these characteristics have resulted in inviting wines with high aging potential.

Vinification and aging:
Mechanical crushing, alcoholic fermentation in 10-ton amphorae with temperature control and complete maceration. Aged for 6 months in oak barrels.

Allergens information

Contains sulphites.

Adega Cooperativa da Granja Amareleja

Adega Cooperativa da Granja, with over 60 years of history, benefits from the excellent conditions that the Alentejo offers for the production of very high quality wines, appreciated all over the world. The great recognition of the quality of the wines produced here happened in 1989 with the distinction of a “World Champion” wine in a competition that took place in Ljubljana, in the former Yugoslavia and, since 2007, the Winery has been evolving with the modernization of the entire production line, maintaining the traditions of the region, namely with the production of carved wine – a tradition inherited from the Roman Empire – and the use of the varieties so characteristic of the region.
