The visionary mind behind the Dão wines crafted by No Rules Wines is winemaker Tiago Macena. With unwavering passion for the art of winemaking, Tiago unravels the mysteries of nature, creating impressive and irreverent wines that always reflect the vinicultural characteristics of the Serra da Estrela sub-region. Each wine is an expression of his passion for viticulture, combined with the unique terroir of the region. Every bottle is a window into the history and culture that make Dão so special.

Portal da Estrela is an ideal wine for those who wish to explore new flavor nuances with a touch of sophistication.

Vinification: Vinification is done by grape variety, always with careful and gentle extraction. Aged in concrete tanks. The blending of the varieties is done in the spring following the harvest. Additional aging of the blend in concrete tanks. Light fining and filtration before bottling.

The limited scale of production allows for precise control of each phase of the winemaking cycle. From selecting suitable plots for planting vines to the careful harvesting of grapes, through fermentation, aging, and bottling, each step is treated with attention and dedication.
