Quinta do Poeira is located in Provesende, on a hillside in the Pinhão river valley. Its northerly exposure is fundamental to the style of wine it seeks to produce. Fresh and elegant, each year they reflect the personality of the vineyard from which they come.

A unique vineyard, with a will of its own. The owner of a unique personality, capricious and delightful when it wants to be. Only occasionally does it show its greatness. It was during these singular years that we produced this wine.

Vinification :
Fermentation in a press.

Ageing :
16 months in French oak barrels and 2 years in bottle.

Jorge Nobre Moreira - Quinta do Poeira

After making seven vintages as winemaker at Real companhia velha, Jorge Moreira felt the need to start an individual project where he could apply his ideas and where he could control the entire production process. Without compromise, a wine that reflected his interpretation of the Douro. In 2001 he started the Poeira project located in Provesende, along a hillside in the Pinhão valley, on the right bank of the river of the same name.
