After making seven vintages as winemaker for Real Companhia Velha, Jorge Moreira felt the need to launch an individual project where he could apply his ideas and control the entire production process. Without compromise, a wine that would reflect his interpretation of the Douro. In 2001, he launched the Poeira project, located in Provesende, along a hillside in the Pinhão valley, on the right bank of the river of the same name.

This is a vineyard with a unique identity and character, planted in 1950 with mixed grape varieties, stony soil and very steep slopes, facing north at an altitude of 400m. This vineyard is a perfect example of a vineyard with a unique identity and character. This vineyard is a perfect example of the enormous heritage that we have received from our ancestors and which it is our duty to preserve.
