Intense ruby color. On the nose, red fruits and white pepper stand out, along with aromas of undergrowth that make it complex. In the mouth, it is elegant, complex, and persistent, revealing ever-present tannins. Long and refined finish.
Pé de Ganso” wines are only marketed when the winemaker classifies them as exceptional and guarantees that they will age well in the bottle.
“Chenopodium Murale” is the botanical name for the herb known as Pé de Ganso, found in the vineyards that gave rise to this wine. Pé de Ganso red is produced from the Baga grape variety with grapes harvested in the vineyards of Adega Cravo.
Vinification: Total destemming, crushing, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. It remained aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Winemaking: Nuno Bastos.
Ideal for accompanying stews and grills of noble meats and game.
