O Produtor, tasting note published in October 10th 2020
Deep coloured wine. Nose in which iodised and mineral notes dominate, with cherry aromas and hints of dark chocolate, black pepper, blackberries and smoked notes as a backdrop. In the mouth, all these aromatic notes are enhanced by the stimulating acidity and enveloping structure. The tasting is punctuated by light saline sensations that add sparkle to the long finish.
The wine “Outrora” Clássico Bairrada is a tribute to the centenary vineyards, matriarchs of the region and witnesses of other times. The grapes are selected from 80 to 120 year old vines in our vineyard in the Cadoiços Valley.
Vinification in lagares with foot treading of the grapes with stalks, besides being an old technique, we believe that it is still the best way to obtain great wines from this grape variety. The ageing of two years in oak (50% new) and subsequent ageing in bottle gives the necessary elegance and balance to a wine that is intended to
enjoy for many years.

Mira do Ó
Old vines, century-old vines, hillside vines, lowland vines, clay or stony vines, all produce different wines.
It has been our mission to interpret all the differences that exist in the vines and transpose them into the different wines. Our major focus is on old vines of Baga, in the case of the reds, and Bical in the case of the whites, although in some vineyards there are blends with other local grape varieties.
The oenology is minimalist in terms of intervention but quite differentiated and adapted to each of the different vineyards, i.e., the different plots also have a different approach in the winery in order to better reveal what we believe to be their purest expression.
We want wines that are tense, fresh and complex, with a great connection to the terroir and a unique personality and that, fundamentally, will give us pleasure for many years.
