Opus One was founded by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, legendary owner of Château Mouton Rothschild, and renowned Napa Valley winemaker Robert Mondavi.
By combining the great winemaking traditions and innovations of both families, the founders’ singular aim was to create an exceptional wine in the heart of Napa Valley.

2010 HARVEST
The 2010 vintage will long be remembered as an exceptionally demanding year. The success of the 2010 vintage was assured when we correctly assessed the early ripeness of the grapes and had the confidence to harvest at the first sight of ripeness. The harvest started on 23 September and finished thirty-one days later on 23 October.
Aromas of fresh blackberries, rose petals, chocolate and espresso accent a deep tapestry of fruity and earthy nuances. Round velvety tannins roll up a silky texture with a slight hint of minerality. The dark fruit flavours are enhanced by the well-integrated acidity. The acidity and tannic structure promise a very long life for this wine.
