Monte das Ânforas
Monte das Ânforas takes its name from Herdade das Ânforas, located in Arraiolos, renowned for its impressive collection of amphorae or “talhas” that adorn the estate. These iconic pieces evoke the Alentejo tradition of winemaking in ceramic amphorae, a historic solution to the scarcity of quality wood for barrel production, a challenge faced throughout the Mediterranean basin.
Winemaking
Crafted in the modern winery of Quinta do Carmo, in Estremoz, Monte das Ânforas represents the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Grapes are vinified traditionally, with short macerations and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the fruity aromas of each grape variety. After fermentation, the final blend results in a young, fresh, and modern wine.

With its captivating aromatic richness, Monte das Ânforas pairs beautifully with meat dishes, grilled fish, or hearty salads, such as a classic Caesar salad.
