Monte das Ânforas
The 2019 harvest was produced from a selection of the Aragonês and Trincadeira grape varieties, planted in different Alentejo vineyards. Aragonês and Trincadeira are produced in: Arronches (Portalegre), Orada (Borba), Redondo and Arraiolos and where clay and shale soils predominate. The wine making Monte das Ânforas is made in the new and modern Quinta do Carmo winery in Estremoz. Traditional vinification is used, with short macerations where the varieties are vinified separately in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature, to allow to preserve the fruity aromas. At the end of the fermentation is made the batch originated thus a modern wine, young and fresh.
