O Produtor, tasting note published in May 4th 2021
Deep red-violet colour. On the nose, very fresh and intense with notes of wild black fruit, well combined with slight floral notes that give it elegance. The subtle notes of wood refine and add complexity to the aroma. A well-structured wine on the palate, with firm tannins, well enveloped by the fruit, and a smooth texture. Persistent and elegant finish.
Harvested by hand, the grapes are carefully selected, destemmed and crushed in a granite press where they are trodden by foot. Followed by 12 months in second and third use French oak barrels with a capacity of 500 litres.
An elegant wine that goes very well with intensely flavoured dishes such as red meats, game, wood oven roasts and cheeses.

Martha's Wines & Spirits
Located in the heart of the Douro, the Martha family’s history dates back to 1727 when they settled in the Baixo Corgo region as farmers, particularly in the cultivation of grapes.
With an enormous knowledge of the region and the vineyard, the following generations embarked on the adventure of producing elegant and distinctive wines. The wine is made using an ancient and complex method that requires meticulous and careful elaboration. Being a family business, they are able to control each wine with attention to detail.
Bottled in modern, charming bottles, the Martha family’s wines express their passion for the land, the Douro river, the vineyards and the production process.
