O Produtor, tasting note published in May 27th 2016
This wine was produced with Tempranillo and others. Dark cherry color. Great aromatic intensity of toast and spices provided by French oak barrels, with notes of ripe black fruits. On the palate is fresh and creamy, with smooth and polished tannins where the wood is very little present. Complex and elegant, with a long and balanced finish.
Barón de Chirel ferments at a controlled temperature of 26ºC in small allier oak barrels. It then undergoes malolactic fermentation in fine allier oak barrels. Ageing lasts between 18 and 24 months in barrique and remains in bottle for a further 2 years.
