APPEARANCE: Clear
COLOUR: Intense garnet with slight violet tones.
BOUQUET: Complex and elegant, it shows nobility and distinction as a result of the long months of maturation in French oak barrels and bottles.
TASTE: Fruity, soft, balanced and harmonious.
This red wine from the Bairrada region carries the D.O.C. classification and is made predominantly from the Baga grape variety, under the direction of winemaker Osvaldo Amado. The winemaking process includes crushing with total destemming, gentle skin maceration and alcoholic fermentation at 28°C. It then matures for 12 months in soft-toasted French oak barrels, giving it a longevity of 7 to 10 years. This wine is the perfect companion for grilled red meats, stews, game dishes and mature cheeses.

Adega de Cantanhede
Founded in 1954 by a group of 100 winegrowers, Adega de Cantanhede today has 500 active winegrowers and an annual production of 6 to 7 million kilos of grapes. It is the main producer in the Bairrada Demarcated Region, representing about 40% of the region’s overall production. Today it certifies around 80% of its production, being the leader in sales of Bairrada DOC and Beira Atlântico IGP wines.
