Luís Ramos Lopes, tasting note published in February 15th 2022
Open, beautiful color. On the nose, it is defined by extreme elegance, wild berries, cherries, blueberries, and a slight vegetal note. The palate surprises with firmness, with livelier tannins than expected, lots of character combined with enormous freshness and precision. Broad, defined, vibrant.
A centennial Baga from clay-limestone soil, only 282 bottles produced. From a 0.4ha vineyard, ungrafted and high density in Ois do Bairro, planted in 2004. Young with a purple color, with floral and high fashion notes, seamless palate, with red and blue berries and cherry fruits, plus soft suede tannins. Chalk and iodine minerality, along with the most delicate palette of whole and spicy tannins. Great purity, delicacy, and persistence.
