From a century-old vineyard, more than 90 years old, located in the parish of Aguim, surrounded by a pine forest, with some eucalyptus trees, which add a complementary complexity to the wine, already enhanced by the age of the vines.
In 1995, Luís Pato launched single-vineyard wines: Vinha Pan, Vinha Barrosa, and Quinta do Ribeirinho Pé Franco.
In 1999, by personal choice, he left the Denominação de Origem Controlada, and his wines became labeled as Regional Beiras.
It was vinified in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks with temperature control. It aged for 1 year in new and used Allier oak barrels. It will age for 15 to 20 years.
Pairs well with roasted red meats, as well as game and duck dishes.
