Deep, intense garnet-red colour, with aromas of tobacco, pepper, redcurrants, a touch of mint and hints of roasted nuts. Balanced and smooth on the palate, with round, full-bodied tannins and good persistence. It should be drunk at a temperature of 16-18ºC, preferably with red meats, game or strong cheeses such as blue cheese.
Harvest
Third week of September, dry weather. Hand-picked. Average yield of 40 hl/ha
VINIFICATION
Destemming and total crushing followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in Lagares vats with long macerations. Aged for 12 months in French, American and Portuguese oak barrels, followed by bottle ageing to the present day.
AGEING
Aged for 12 months in American, French and Portuguese oak barrels.
STORAGE
Store at a temperature of 12ºC and 60% humidity.

History
Casa Agrícola Assis Lobo, Lda. was established recently (May 2002). However, viticulture is deeply rooted in our family since more ancient times.
From generation to generation, this noble art has been perfected and adapted to the demands of those who appreciate and judge it. Having as top priority the high quality of our wines, only grapes from our vineyards, located in the most privileged areas of the Palmela region (such as Lau, Fonte da Barreira, Poceirão and Fernando Pó) are used.
