Lento

From vines over 100 years old, carefully harvested by hand, we obtain a Douro with precious subtleties. The vinification takes place spontaneously in granite lagares and a small section in stainless steel, and no wood is used. We want it to be an honest wine, with no extras, that comes from the extraordinary quality of the grapes that grow in the various old vineyards in our collection, throughout the demarcated Douro region. The macerations are long and delicate. We want you to feel the Douro from one end to the other, from the lowest to the highest altitudes, from the different exposures to the sun, from the predominance of schist and from the many years of heritage that enable us today to make wines that are pure, distinctive, elegant and full of character. Wines that are born in the vineyards, without ever forgetting the science behind them, the result of processes in which oenological knowledge is synonymous with vigilance and not an alibi for manipulation; elementary to reduce to almost nothing intervention in the cellar, where we just want to smell the beautiful notes that come from the vineyard and make us dream of incredible destinations and places, reminding us that the best almost always comes slowly, at nature’s pace. This is the main characteristic of this wine: a wine that is born at the right pace, at the pace of the vine and of nature, which brings it back to life each spring.
