Lagoalva
The long tradition of Quinta da Lagoalva as a wine producer is attested to in 1888 at the Portuguese Industry Exhibition, where it was present with 600 casks of wine.
Lagoalva Reserve Red is born among the 45 hectares of vineyards at Quinta da Lagoalva, planted in the best “terroirs” of the Tejo region and composed of national and international grape varieties with the best enological potential. The vineyards of Quinta da Lagoalva benefit from a modern training system, as does the winery, which combines efficient winemaking with great versatility in enological options, balancing the “New World” model with traditional European techniques.
Vinification: The different grape varieties are vinified separately, and the final blend is made later. The grapes are mechanically harvested at night, and after 3 days of pre-fermentative maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 24ºC. The solids are pressed in a hydraulic press, and malolactic fermentation occurs in French oak barrels, where the wine ages for 10 months.
Winemakers: Diogo Campilho / Pedro Pinhão.
