Tavares de Pina is a small family of natural wine producers at Quinta da Boavista in Dão, producing around 45,000 bottles of wine per year.
Situated at an altitude of 500 meters in Penalva do Castelo, the estate encompasses approximately 13 hectares of vineyards in a beautiful granite valley, surrounded by woodlands with more clayey areas, where the tranquility of nature prevails.
They practice natural production, manual harvesting, and blending directly in the vineyards.
In the cellar, a strict non-intervention policy is followed, with the use of native yeasts for spontaneous co-fermentations, low sulfur content, and no other chemicals; no new wood is used, and no clarification or filtration takes place.
One of their main goals is to recover the lost indigenous varieties in the Dão region through their own nursery project.
