O Produtor, tasting note published in November 24th 2024

The Já Te Disse Petit Verdot Grande Reserva 2021 features an intense ruby color, with aromas of black fruit, black pepper, and licorice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and voluminous, with vigorous tannins balanced by good acidity, leading to a long and fresh finish.

Já te Disse

From a selection of the three best French oak barrels, only 877 numbered bottles were produced, making this a unique and unrepeatable edition.

During the manual harvest at dawn on September 9, 2021, Joachim Roque carefully selected the finest grape clusters to craft the Já Te Disse Petit Verdot, the family’s first Grande Reserva.

Harvest, Vinification & Aging: Hand-harvested at dawn on September 9, 2021, with grapes divided into two micro-parcels based on sun exposure. Grapes were transported in 10kg boxes to prevent crushing. Fermentation in lagares with foot treading and pigeage.
After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, followed by an additional 12 months of bottle aging.

Já Te Disse

A Boutique Winery with a micro-production of wines focused exclusively on quality.

A trip to Burgundy and some wines that remain in memory for the best reasons sparked the dream of producing high-quality wines in Portugal. In 2015, Pedro Patrício and his brother Rui acquired an Alentejo estate in Estremoz, where they planted a vineyard of just one hectare, but with much to offer.

With a micro-production of 3,613 vines in Estremoz and rigorous grape selection processes, the production is small but of high quality. The vineyard is located 7 km from Estremoz, on clay-schist soil, with a SE-NW solar orientation and a strong slope of 44º, at an average altitude of 300 meters. The vines are divided between the varieties Alicante Bouschet, Petit Verdot, and Syrah.

Já Te Disse is a limited edition wine, produced manually both in the vineyard and in the winery, respecting the artisanal tradition. The harvest is done variety by variety, manually and at dawn, to preserve the freshness of the grapes. The wine ages for 16 months in French oak barrels, enhancing its quality with aging in each bottle. All bottles are numbered, sealed, and the labels are signed by Architect Siza Vieira.

The winemaker
Joachim Roque, trained in Viti-Oeno in Bordeaux, France, is responsible for the production of the wine JÁ TE DISSE. With various international experiences (Bordeaux, Côtes du Rhône, Napa Valley, Alentejo, among others), Joachim leads an experienced team, with production assistant Ana Paulino standing out.
