With a vivid and deep garnet colour, Herdade dos Grous 23 Barricas Red has a rich and deep taste. Derived from the stage in wood it has a complex spicy aroma. It has a long finish.
Produced from Touriga Nacional and Syrah grape varieties, Herdade dos Grous 23 Barricas is an elegant, deep red wine with a rich aroma, in which only the best barrels were used. During the harvest, a manual selection was made on reception of the grapes, followed by fermentation in lagares with intense maceration. The final alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation and ageing takes place in new oak barrels. Touriga Nacionalis aged in French oak and Syrah in American oak barrels. After 12 months, the 23 best barrels of each variety are selected.
