O Produtor, tasting note published in March 27th 2023
Brilliant deep ruby colour. Nose with black fruit and spicy resulting from ageing in barrels. Firm and silky tannins that allow a good evolution in the bottle.
Elegant and genuine, the Herdade do Rocim Reserva Tinto is an Alentejo wine from the Vidigueira region, produced from less productive soils of granitic and schist origin, with pedological potential for vine cultivation and the production of excellent wines. Made from the Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, and Aragonês grape varieties, this Reserva Tinto aged in French oak barrels for a period of 14 months.
Manual harvest in 12kg boxes. After the grapes passed through the cold chamber, they underwent a careful selection on a sorting table, followed by total destemming and very light crushing of the berries. The co-fermentation of the grape varieties took place in French oak vats, at controlled temperatures, by indigenous yeasts for a period of 14 days.

At Herdade do Rocim all efforts go in the direction of doing well, always improving and with a constant concern for the quality of the wine.
