Herdade do Rocim
The ‘Mariana’ Red is a young and joyful wine, with generous fruit, freshness, and aromatic richness that reveal the charm of the region.
Climate: Typically Mediterranean, presented in the sub-region of Vidigueira, where climatic conditions are the most temperate in Alentejo, providing an optimal microclimate for the production of high-quality wines.
Soils: Low-productivity, of granitic and schist origin. Great pedological potential for vine cultivation and the production of excellent wines.
Vinification: Manual harvest in 12 kg boxes. In the winery, the grapes underwent a careful selection on a vibrating sorting table, being destemmed with a slight crushing of the berries. After a period of cold skin maceration, fermentation took place in small stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 24ºC.
Aging: Six months in French oak barrels.
