Herdade do Rocim
Herdade do Rocim” red wine is a genuine wine, produced from the passion of generations who have always had the greatest respect and tenderness for the land. Produced from the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Aragonês, and Alicante Bouschet.
Climate: Typically Mediterranean, presented in the Vidigueira sub-region where the climatic conditions are the mildest in the Alentejo, providing an excellent microclimate for the production of high-quality wines.
Soils: Low-productivity, of granitic and schist origin; great pedological potential for vine cultivation and for obtaining excellent wines.
Vinification: Manual harvest in 12 kg boxes. In the winery, the grapes underwent a careful selection on a vibrating sorting table, being destemmed with a light crushing of the berry. After a period of 48 hours of pre-fermentative cold maceration, fermentation took place in French oak vats and in lagares, at a controlled temperature of about 24°C, for a period of 12 days.
Aging: The wine aged in French oak barrels for a period of six months and in the bottle for a period of six months.
